Vestiaire Collective - Long Live Fashion - puppets, print (2022)

Oh, how fun! I absolutely love this, the new Vestiaire Collective campaign shows us what high fashion looks like if you throw some human-sized puppets in along with the models.

The outdoor, print and social campaign features the puppet collective posing alongside a group of real live models, and somehow I'm paying more attention to the clothes. Pre-loved clothes, like loved puppets. Maybe that's the connection? Or perhaps, it's simpler than that - they all look great in what they wear.

“The campaign is classic fashion editorial chic with a playful twist,” explains Stephanie McArdle, design director at Droga5 London. “There’s a serious tone that makes it all the more fun to see puppets in the mix. The puppets were treated just like real people with real personas, each bringing their story to the shoot. They are literally the embodiment of pre-loved fashion. And also represent the diversity of the buyers and sellers that make up Vestiaire Collective. Typography, also playfully classic, nods to this idea of a collective of differences.”
