Table-top director Trevor Shepard has launched his own production company, aptly named Trevor.tv. He will be joined by his long-time creative producer, Ursula Camack, as Executive Producer. As a director, Shepard has collaborated with some of the most ubiquitous restaurants and food brands and their trusted agency partners.
The Trevor.tv team is already in production on multiple projects with table-top shoots for a number of long-time clients.
Before starting his own company, Shepard was the co-founder and creative director of the product design studio WoodShop which first opened in 2009. At WoodShop, he oversaw the collective creative output of the company while simultaneously directing the majority of the live-action shoots. Having become one of the most respected table-top directors in advertising, Shepard has helped develop the food looks for KFC with Wieden + Kennedy, Portland, Pizza Hut with GSD&M, and Jimmy John’s with Anomaly LA, all while continuing long-term relationships with Deutsch LA for Taco Bell and David Miami for Burger King.
On launching this new endeavor, Shepard said: “The last year really opened up a new way of working for both me and our partners. The pandemic lifted a lot of the limitations of working in a dedicated studio and that in turn allowed us to help solve other challenges our clients were having. It was a win-win because I was able to focus my attention on shooting food while also helping them adapt quickly for changes in the content they needed.”
About the company’s light footprint, Camack said: “Trevor is intentionally accessible so that we can work more hand in hand with agencies as well as be a resource for new business opportunities with new and existing clients. We are just taking down some of the walls that didn’t need to be there. We can scale-up just about anywhere, and so far our clients really value that flexibility.”
Prior to working with Shepard at WoodShop for the last 11 years, Camack was a television and independent film producer.
Trevor will be represented by Resource on the West Coast and in the Midwest and Champion on the East Coast.
