Forsbergs vs Berghs, arranging demonstrations to advertise

Revolutionizing new ideas - not!

The Demonstration I told you about the other day, done by advertising students from Berghs for Svea Kebab (which is located across the street from the school) isn't quite as an original idea as one might think. The funny lies in that their opposing school, Forsbergs school of advertising, also arranged a demonstration. This made me laugh. As badland readers know, there is nothing new under the sun.

It was Pilo from Bold who tipped me to the newspaper clipping hosted on Forsbergs school's website. It depicts a demonstration where each sign reads "there has to be a change" and the text describing the image reads: "Forsbergs school are having their spring exhibition in Humlegården. Amanda Holmberg is here depicted during a demonstration together with other students which is part of her project."

This is not entirely unsimilar to the Svea Kebab demonstration done by Berghs students on Thursday last week.

And if you think about it, this whole revolution/demonstration idea isn't all that new, though using (some say cynically abusing) the democratic right to demonstrate and doing it for real might be.

But as far as print and poster campaigns go, the images have been seen before. I recall Diesel sponsored protest (not.) where some protesters decide to create a Diesel sponsored protest - by following the real Diesel ads examples - outside Diesel's competitors shops, no less. That was funny too.
