The commercial "Thank you, France" is created in partnership with Etsy's creative agency Orchard. The commercial takes a light-hearted approach to history by imagining what would happen if America received the Statue of Liberty in 1881 from France to commemorate the two countries' Revolutionary War alliance. The gifting tool of Etsy, which was launched last week, is used to choose a thoughtful reciprocal gift for France that incorporates cultural elements such as mimes and cheese.
