Bluebus Brazil: Adland ‘ressuscitou’

Elder sister site Bluebus Brazil (one year older than Adland!) noted our return here Adland ‘ressuscitou’ – maior e mais antigo arquivo online de comerciais está de volta, with a sweet thank you at the end. Aw, bless.

In September of last year, Adland, one of the most traditional sites in the advertising market, went offline. And by arbitrariness – Bridgestone, through its lawyers, demanded that the site remove a brand commercial produced in 2003 from the air. Continuous act – the Adland server gave a period of 24 hours for the domain to be removed from its network; remember the case here. Four months later, and with the legal part apparently resolved, the site, founded in 1996, is back.

“Adland is resurrected. Hell, we do that with dead celebrities and slogans, why not Adland?” That's how its founder, the Swedish Åsk Wäppling, announced her return. In the post, 'Dabitch', as she is also known, talks about the importance of keeping an archive of commercials to preserve the history of advertising, which after all is part of our culture – and not just award-winning works, because a lot doesn't get enough at Cannes, he won't even win a Clio, an Effie or an Andy. In addition to market news, Adland features nearly 100,000 commercials (!) – including 47 years of Super Bowl commercials. Blue Bus, a 1 year older Brazilian brother, who also knows the difficulties of keeping a website online for so long, wishes Adland a long and prosperous life.

The advertising industry thanks you. :)))
